At Gayton on the Grand Union Canal, as I’ve had a couple of busy days decided to have an easy day. I had arranged to meet up with a couple of friends I’ve been texting my location to, so at the North end of the Blissworth Tunnel we met up, journeyed through the tunnel and then stopped for lunch at Stoke Bruern, where there is a canal museum. After lunch a quick lesson in lock operation at the top lock watched by a school party, this was followed by additional practice for the next five. At the bottom lock were some BW staff replacing the piling at the canal edge. Then help to moor up below lock 20.

Stoke Bruern on the Grand Union Canal. Up and cruising at 08:30 with some dark grey clouds around. At Cosgrove Lock I passed the first boats going North, then a straight line to the Great Ouse Aqueduct and a around Milton Keynes passing moored boats all the way to Peartree Marina by 2pm where I moored up. Then a quick bus ride into the town centre to do some essential shopping and back to the mooring.
