Stoke Bruerne, Grand Union Canal – Tuesday 7 May 2013
Up at
06:30 as a couple of the locals (on residential moorings) were taking their
boats down to the water point. Headed
off at 08:10 and finished at 14:40 having covered 16 miles and 1 lock at
Cosgrove. I had intended to stop at
Cosgrove but the weather was so good I kept going and the miles just slid
by. The canal has reverted to the quiet
of last week after the Bank Holiday with only about a dozen boats out. Again the weather has been superb - another
no vest day!
Tomorrow
it is the Stoke Bruerne flight of 7 locks followed by the Blisworth Tunnel.
