Higher Poynton

Higher Poynton, Macclesfield Canal – Tuesday 03 September 2013
Got the date right!
Today ‘Chance’ and ‘Queen Maeve’ left hoping to get below Bosley Locks and once they had left then ‘nb Janet Grant was brought over to occupy the hire boat mooring.  Work continued on preparing boats and in the afternoon ‘nb Sapphire’ arrived shortly followed by Austin & Liz from ‘Just Siviting’ which is not in their normal place.  The evening was spent on ‘New Dawn’.
Higher Poynton, Macclesfield Canal – Wednesday 04 September 2013
Woke this morning to a clear blue sky with only aircraft vapour trails showing.  Today ‘Eleventh Heaven’ moved out of the yard and I moved in so that the diamonds on the prow can be re-painted.  Peter has also gone down my list of jobs I would like sorted and they’ve been started – multi-coloured gunwale lights instead of just blue, the horn and a few minor scratches have been done, the Morse control and flagpole fitting to follow with bow-thruster control and pole fitting on order.  More boats have arrived – there should be a total of 14 – I will list them when all here.  The weather has been brilliant sun all day.
