Berkhamstead, Grand Union Canal – Wednesday 07 August 2013
Today
was mostly uneventful – a walk to the local supermarket to collect perishables and
bookshop to get a replacement ‘Nicholson’ (see Monday) then meeting up and
chats about the First World War and early aeroplanes. What an exciting life I lead!!
I then
spent the afternoon reorganising the storage in the engine compartment – Monday’s
rain had got in and soaked everything so it was all taken out, dried and
repacked. This means I am ready to head
off again tomorrow. There have only been
a few boats out cruising even though the sun has been out all day. Perhaps it will get busier nearer Braunston.
